Vilano Beach Main Street
Vilano Beach Main Street is located two miles northeast of St. Augustine on a barrier island peninsula. Town Center is across the Intracoastal on the east side of the Frank and Mary Usina Bridge. This new urbanism community is an ocean to inlet paradise replete with gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Attractions include community events such as the Sunset Celebration, held on the first Saturdays monthly at the Vilano Beach Pavilion and Pier. The event features varied entertainment combined with a market whose vendors sell uncommon novelties for visitors to enjoy while celebrating the sunset. Other events include a Easter Sunrise Services and egg Hunts in April ; a Vilano 5K Run and Plastic Bottle Boat Race held in May; Fourth of July Celebrations; an annual FL Pro/Am Skimboard Tournament in August; and a November Dressing of the Palms as well as an art walk. Fishing Tournaments are held year round.
Town Center businesses host frequent musical entertainment and wine tastings throughout the year. For the recreational enthusiasts, Vilano Beach is home to ten county recreational areas including a nature boardwalk, boat ramp, multiple beach accesses, parks with educational centers, and a fishing pier with a floating dock. The flavor of Old Florida is retained in its historic properties which date back to the 50’s. The newly renovated Magic Beach Motel has a proud history of Hollywood fame.
Boating, fishing, biking, hiking, shopping, surfing, and dining in a Town Center sporting art deco and Florida Vernacular building designs make Vilano Beach Main Street a fun and memorable place to vacation. The area is home to over seven area hotels and fourteen restaurants.
